First Complementary Skills Course: Granada. 1-2 February 2011

During 1-2 February 2011 was held in the “Centro de Investigación en Tecnologías de la Información y de las Comunicaciones” (University of Granada) the first complementary skills course, organised within the European research and training network “Medical Images using Bio-inspired and Soft Computing”. The course contents were defined in order to provide the 16 early-stage researchers engaged in the network a transversal formation that complements the specific technical one they are receiving. The lecturers taught the course were all outstanding professionals in their areas of expertise, among them we can highlight Dr. José M. Labastida, recently appointed Director of the Scientific Division of the European Research Council (ERC), and Dr. Damini Kumar Director of Design & Creativity, NUI Maynooth, Ireland, and European Ambassador of Creativity & Innovation.
