Following the motto "There is nothing more practical than a good theory" this Research Unit is devoted to study open questions related to the fundaments of Soft Computing. The aim of the Unit is to do basic research however not loosing contact with reality. For this, the Unit will maintain a constant dialog with the other Units of the Centre, to integrate as much as possible theoretical questions emerging from their work. At the same time, results of the work of this Unit will be available to all other Units.
